Mutuality, trust and cultural relations
Martin Rose
Nick Wadham-Smith
Written by two founder members of Counterpoint, this book was published in 2004 after a two London workshops involving staff from the British Council around the world plus some invited guests.
Initially conceived both to stimulate and to clarify thinking, it was considered challenging at the time by some of the internal audience for whom it was written. That was the idea. It still encapsulates thinking about the concepts of mutuality and trust in relation to international cultural relations. It may also serve as a corrective to the more anodyne or glib use of these terms which have now been assimilated into the mainstream.
Although an internal publication, we have made it available on the website because it may interest a wider audience. It is only available as an electronic copy in pdf format.
